Have you given any thought to your summer vacation?
Summer is coming and we know what that means – no school and plenty of sun! But what are you going to do all summer long? Well, of course there is the pool, plenty of shopping & video games. And all the outdoor activity you can handle after sitting behind a desk for 180 days! But what will you do when boredom hits, repetitiveness becomes dull and your parents just won’t let you sleep anymore?! Why not consider some volunteer work? Yes, yes I said it – volunteer – but why not? Think about it for a second. Just 2 hours a week and you can gain valuable community service credit that you might need for graduation, honor society or even on your list of extracurricular activities for college applications. Trust me, there’s a lot of options. Plus – the library is air conditioned – good way to avoid the hot days of summer! Besides, volunteering doesn’t just have value for you – it’s also a great way to get involved and help out your community.
Interested? Great! Check it out for more information. Applications are being accepted now through May 22nd.
Have questions, that’s alright, just call 452-3141 and ask for Samantha.
